The New Young Christian Field Guide is a great book written by a pastor friend of mine.

Problem: This book was aimed at helping young people recover ancient wisdom in a modern world. The hope was that it might appeal to a wide range of people with a variety of experiences. The goal was also to break though possible misconceptions on the front-end.

Solution: My role in the project involved cover design, layout and illustrations. As with any book, the cover design was the key to the whole project. I used a minimalist, line art style to create a modern, welcoming look. Color was used with restraint and the yellow/gold was chosen to add warmth and life to a white surface.
