My name is Erik Swenson. I live near St. Paul, Minnesota with my lovely wife, our five kids and a dog who eats cardboard and drinks out of the bathtub.
By trade I am a writer, illustrator and graphic designer. I did my first logo design when I was a teenager. It was for my friend’s lawn care business. The logo was a hand-drawn image of him wearing a motorcycle helmet and driving a riding mower. I don’t think he paid me anything. I’ve been making art for people ever since (but now they pay me).
We all have a story to tell and a message to share. I try to help individuals, small businesses and non-profits tell their story while inviting people into a larger story. I’m always taking on new projects and I’d love the chance to work with you! Feel free to contact me about your project.

Erik agreed to help me with a very vague and high level assignment: To design a logo for a product that I have yet to create. We had only two, short conversations about my vision / product before Erik not only nailed what I was looking for, but he took it to another level with his creative techniques and expert advice on color schemes and branding.
